Mom's Pride stikes again.

On June 19th my baby graduated from Cornerstone Christian Academy. What a happy-sad day. What a beautiful young lady my daughter has become, inside and out.
She has received a few awards at graduation and also was voted as valedictorian of her graduating class. This is the words of my daughter on the night of her graduation.......
I have been at Cornerstone since Senior Kindergarden and loved every minute of it. Now that this time has come, I am both excited for what lays ahead but sad to leave so much behind.
The times we as a class have shared are irreplaceable. We've laughed and cried. We've fought, we've encouraged and we've prayed. Through the years we have grown close to each other and will be engraved in each others hearts.
Many memories have been made and shared but a few stand out. Our tributes to our neighbours in Napanee. Baking, raking, shoveling and helping out. Our reality projects including inheriting a house to furnish under a budget. Buying and keeping a car gased and lawfully driveable. We shared our parents pain in the price of gas everyday. A hugging contest to get over our nerves for our hugging scenes in this years musical. Each of our class trips and playing pranks on each other over the past two years. Notably the girls and Mrs. Mutch have won.
As most of you know we have also had the privilege of having a great new teacher brought into our lives. Ms Merrimen, with her many memories were made.
She taught us the "Moose song", which I'm sure will stay with us longer than any science class. And most of all her laugh. I honestly don't remember a class where we didn't laugh about something. Either with her or at her. Her often mistakes in grammar, which include telling Ty to die. On course we were told that they both sound the same and could easily be missaid. And learning about the Manifest Destiny or is it Man against Destiny? She has brought so much laughter into our class.
Ever since I was very young I have had a dream, a dream to change the world. I hope to make the laws under Gods word. Keep prayer in decision making. Help establish to poorer countries like Africa, Guatemala, Haiti, Burundi and Brazil. House girls in China, and stop child and woman abuse. Also to really spread Gods word throughout the world. My friends and teachers here at Cornerstone have placed in me, my faith in God, to help me through it. The courage , to speak out. The determination, to do it. The patience, to listen. Literacy and Grammar, to voice my opinions. The thoughtfulness, to care. And shown me the path to lead the world on.
Every single one of these graduates has a purpose and some dream. We have future pastors, a lawyer, and teachers. Many have yet to decide but we know it is Mrs. Mutch's passion that we become strong Christian leaders. I would like to challenge the graduates to go after your dreams and fulfill the purpose God has give you. Inspire those around you and keep God with you in everything you do.
So many people have contributed to help us see that. Each of these people have added to our character. Our teachers who have taught us so much, even when we didn't feel like learning, putting their own time aside to help us and taking a real interest in seeing us improve. Deb Simpson, for her help around the school and those great pictures of all the grads she took, got developed and gave us. Gary senior, he's an amazing guy and would do anything and everything for you. I have a funny story in which he was referred to as the "freaky janitor". Always in the hallway to tease us, and just being a goofy guy. We used to think he got payed every time he cut the grass, because he's always out there working. We made a great joke about it, but he means so much more to us than that. Mrs. Simpson for her fashion advice and her example in setting goals for yourself and meeting them. Our chapel speakers for teaching and encouraging us. Our parents for allowing us to be here and supporting us. Cornerstone is a private school and there is a tuition. Parents have put in extra hours and some work more than one job to pay school bills. Our parents love us so much and want the best for us. We love you guys so much and thank you with all of our hearts. And most of all God, for being there everyday and setting the true example.
We hope you would keep us in your thoughts and prayers, for continual guidande as we move on.

Mom's Pride.

I made it to the computer and have time to update you my friends.

On May 31st Cheyenne had a horse show......but it got rained out. She has been working hard at training, babysitting for money for horse stuff, baseball, leading kids worship, and graduation prep...........On June 1st was school track and field she took 3 first place in running and a 2nd place. She also took a 2nd in running long jump.

Kyler also had a great track day. He was doing awsome. One of his runs he was so close to being the first with another kid but they gave it to the other kid. (Kyler was first by a breath....... lol)
He was good. He also out threw all the other kids in the baseball throw but fouled across the line just a hair. No problem. He was good. ( I sound like one of those moms........my kid won but......but ......)He also has baseball on Thursdays which he has been missing jr high regretfully.

Would it be terribly boastful to say my kids are so awsome. I am so proud of them. I love being Mom. Jesus loves me.
Real Mothers.....
REAL MOTHERS don't eat quiche; they don't have time to make it.
REAL MOTHERS know that their kitchen utensils are probably in the sand box.
REAL MOTHERS often have sticky floors, filthy ovens, and happy kids.
REAL MOTHERS know that dried playdough doesn't come out of carpets.
REAL MOTHERS do not want to know what the vacuum just sucked up.
REAL MOTHERS know that a child's growth isn't measured by height or years or grade.
It is measured by the progresssion of Mama to Mommy to Mom.
( you all are REAL MOTHERS... even if you make quiche, keep the kids away from your utensils, have clean floors, ovens and still happy kids, don't let playdough near your carpet, watch where you vacuum, )LOL

Patti Needs......complements of google

I did a google search for "Patti needs" and this is what I got. ... Amy and Amanda did it........

1. Patti needs to buy a new computer.

2. I’m Patti and if there’s one thing I know how to do, it’s prepare for a party.

3. Patti needs to take in high quantities of concentrated enzymes that will help to break down the fibrin meshwork.

4. Patti needs to follow her own advice ...

5. Patty needs to know that God’s judgment is not based on popularity and that repentance precedes forgiveness and restitution follows. ...

6. Patti needs to be checked.

7. Patti is so honest and trustworthy. She put our needs 1st above anything else. I would recommend her to anyone.

8. Patti needs a cause

9. Patty needs to understand there are three main objectives that she must stick to or else her planning will fail.

10. Patti needs to go back to her mid-range where she is the strongest, and stike to ballads and classics.

11. Patti needs to start rehearsing her Tony acceptance speech because she's a shoo-in.

12. Patti needs her sales staff to pick up the pace

13. Patti needs to keep up good work.

14. Patti needs a make-over: until she takes care of herself.

15. Patti Needs More Exposure.

And that's what google thinks I need. I'll have to work on that. LOL

New Year. New Dreams...Joy...Hurt....Discoveries...

With the New Year came something VERY new to me...I have always been quit strong in my optimistic outlook on things that happen to Me in life. Some pretty drastic things have happen and I always stood strong on my faith and optimistic ways of finding strength.

Come New Year I suddenly was feeling things that I had not let myself feel. Some were past hurts, disappointments, grief, love, fears,...........I was totally lost in all this feeling that I was almost unlivable to my children,Mark, and friends . I had an insecure, scared, lost and very troubled couple of months. The more hurt and scared and insecure I got,the more I was closing doors to everyone except Mark and my kids. But I wasn't really getting what I was needing. Mark had went away on a trip at a time when I needed his security which left me feeling even more lost and scared. I didn't understand the feelings and my inability to find my usual optimistic self. My mom, my spiritual rock(next to God)kept talking to me and telling me to listen to praise music and read. On ( a ) saturday she had to get me out of bed at 3:00 in the afternoon and had me go out with her just to get out.

I must face my obsicles and let hurt to be felt and recover instead of let them be shelved .
I have listened to alot of praise and read a few books and my bible to find Me,a new me .
I have found a new love for my husband, my kids have always been my joy. Cheyenne wrote a quote and posted it by the computer "Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass.....it's about learning to dance in the rain." of course she has wit to toss you for a loop too. She came to me one day and asked what was wrong..... I replied I seemed to forget how to dance in the rain. ......she then replies "oh mom, just make it up, it don't matter" ........and walked away like there ya go, all fixed. Made me smile knowing that's me I'm listening to. Kyler he just walks up and hugs you full force no words necessary .
I found Love in my husband, joy in my children, faith in my mother, support and concern in my dad and stepmom, and patience in all of you who saw something wasn't right and offered your support.
I HAVE joy, I HAVE love, I HAVE faith , I HAVE friends that love me, I HAVE an awsome niece and nephew, I HAVE security, ...............
Patti is back .
I think thats why the drama EVERYTHING was so awsome. It reminded me that Jesus will jump in if I am doing everything I can to get to him.
